Why We Are Different

After 37 years as a CPA, Business Advisor and Lawyer in big firms, it was suggested to me that my clients were no longer a “fit” for the big firm. If they aren’t willing to pay over $500 an hour for routine legal work, they simply don’t belong with a big firm. This, the year after forced Covid related shuttering of businesses I represented all over the country. This, immediately after a routine and out-of-touch annual increase in rates all the way up to $1,200 plus an hour.

Big Firms With Unreasonable Pricing

At many law firms, employees are measured by one over-arching metric: the billable hour. The more hours they bill, the more inefficient they become and the more they are rewarded. To increase revenue in these models, they don’t think “sell more”. They think “bill more” and “charge more”.

Eric has given over 280 presentations to entrepreneurs, brokers and businesses on selling, hundreds of business topics, leadership, franchising and branding (ask for a list of topics and have Eric speak to your group!).

Eric has spoken to NFL, NBA and MLB players on preserving their finances past their active playing years.

With formal training as both a Business Broker and a Franchise Broker, Eric has created and helped develop brands both nationally and internationally.

He hosts a monthly webinar called “The Eric Show” through the FBA on legal, business, sales and leadership issues.

He hosts a weekly podcast called Talking Risks on entreprenuership.

He also appears monthly on a webinar called “Finding Good Franchises”.
